AIR+ DP Team

All of the Marina suits are customizable in both design and in sizing! You may pick a suit and use the customizer to pick out colors and add logos. On the Air+ and Air+ DP additional logos and sizing do incur additional costs. Use the customizer and send us the design, or download it and email it to us. If you need help or want a blank slate design, contact us!

There is a 4-6 week lead time on custom suits. 

Base Price reflects a stock design suit with color changes only. Any purchase done before design approval may incur a refund minus processing fees. 

CUSTOMIZE IT!

Get it fully tailored. OR you can use a standard suit with the extrasize guide to avoid a sizing upcharge. We HIGHLY suggest trying one of the suits on to confirm fit and adjustments before this, or going with the full custom size. 

Options:

"Boot cut" or "Nascar cut" adds a bit of material over the ankle cuff, to make it look like the traditional end of pants.

Co-Driver Pocket is a neat little pocket with room for pens and smaller items. Rally inspired it is above the right ankle. This is a convenient spot for when you are sitting in a car you can have access to it while strapped in. Put pens, your schedule, a small communicator or whatever you’d like there!

Arm restraint options add the D-rings on the shoulders / sleeve area for the arm restraints that is often required when driving an open top vehicle.

Belt on Marina suits are a no charge option, just a preference of yes or no!

Trouser pockets are available on the Air+ to give you a little more traditional style pocket. 

DESCRIPTION:

Marina Air+ is a high-performance suit with a total weight of less than 1.1kg (in a size 50). The composition, developed exclusively by Marina Racewear, has managed to considerably reduce the weight of the suit, complying with the protection standards required by FIA 8856-2018 regulations.

The structure of the inner layer has been designed in such a way that it facilitates the breathability (65 cm3 of air / second) of the suit and provides an ultra-light sensation. The Air+ model manages to exceed 12 seconds of protection against second degree burns which characterize the competition garments developed by Marina Racewear.

The customizable models of the Air+ suit have elastic bands at the waist and armpits that provide ample mobility and comfort. Designed from the fabric to its manufacture in Barcelona, especially to achieve the needs of the driver.

Its RET value (Textile Resistance to Evaporation) is 8.5m­/pa/w. This makes it a garment with a great capacity for sweat evaporation.

- RET 0-6: Very good. Extremely breathable.

- RET 6-13 Good. Very breathable.

- RET 13-20 Normal. breathable.

- RET 20-30 Poor. Barely breathable.

There are two models of the Air+, which are differentiated by the customization process.

The “Air+” where the customization of the designs is through fabric cutouts of different colors made in the suit and stitched together, in a traditional sense. Logos can still be added by transfer (stickers).

The “Air+ DP”, is materially the same suit, however the designs (which differ from the ‘regular’ Air+) are made by transfer on the suit itself, which makes the set even lighter and more ergonomic.

 PROJECT MOTORING SAYS:

The Air+ is really lightweight, and gives you a more “traditional feel.” There is additional costs for the logos added as they need to be printed and transferred on, unlike with the UNIC+. If lightweight is your goal, the Air+ is the way to go. An Air+ DP with little to no logos or graphics on it is the cheapest and easiest way into a Marina suit.
